Meet Hervé, Head of the Technical Department

Hervé began his professional journey as a building painter before expanding his skills in store management in Paris. His versatile expertise led him to join the team of Philippe Rousse, owner of Château de Maubreuil, where he played a key role in the renovation work that began in 2013. "I’ve been involved in every phase of the Château’s transformation, allowing me to know every inch of this place," Hervé proudly explains.

As the conductor of technical operations, Hervé ensures that all electrical, plumbing, and other systems operate flawlessly. "My mission goes beyond simple repairs; I must anticipate and resolve issues before they affect our guests’ experience," he details. His ability to manage and prevent technical problems is crucial to the luxury and comfort that the Château promises its visitors.

One of the accomplishments Hervé is most proud of is the creation of the outdoor lighting. "Seeing the Château illuminated at night, knowing I contributed to that magic, is extremely rewarding," he shares. His versatility and dedication are major assets for the Château, enabling him to tackle daily challenges with efficiency. The Château’s staff particularly enjoys working with Hervé, who is always available to solve technical issues. Whenever a problem arises, the team knows Hervé is the reliable and indispensable solution.

Outside of his professional duties, Hervé is passionate about fishing, football, and gardening—activities that allow him to recharge and maintain his personal balance. "These hobbies help me stay connected to nature and provide a welcome counterbalance to the technical demands of my work," he reveals.

Having worked with Philippe Rousse for over 20 years, Hervé is described as "very serious in his work but always ready to share a moment of conviviality." While Hervé chooses to keep his funniest anecdotes to himself, he is well known at the Château for his ability to bring lightness even in the most tense situations.

What Hervé appreciates most about his work at the Château is the environment itself. "Working in such a splendid place is a privilege. Each day brings its own set of challenges, but also the satisfaction of working in an environment that values teamwork and problem-solving," he concludes.
