General Terms and Conditions of Services
Article 1 : Company
The companies QUARTO, registered under RCS number 789 727 013 00029, and LOC IMMO, registered under RCS number 393 300 819, both having their registered offices at 2 allée d’Erdre – 44000 Nantes, operate the establishments of the Maubreuil Collection, including Château de Maubreuil and Maison Maubreuil.
They provide the following services:
- accommodation,
- catering,
- wellness services,
- provision of spaces,
- seminars and events,
- as well as gift vouchers and packages.

Hereinafter referred to as the “Maubreuil Collection”.
Article 2 : Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Services (hereinafter the “GTCS”) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all services booked by phone, email, following the signing of a quotation, via a specialized platform, or directly with one of the establishments operated by the Maubreuil Collection.
They apply to services provided to:
- private clients,
- professional clients,
- groups,
- and more generally, any client booking a service with the Maubreuil Collection.
Certain provisions may vary depending on whether the client acts as a professional or a consumer.
These GTCS define in particular:
- booking procedures,
- contract formation,
- financial terms,
- cancellation conditions,
- mutual obligations of the parties.
They are communicated to the client prior to booking or attached to the quotation and prevail over any conflicting document, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Failure by the Maubreuil Collection to enforce any provision at a given time shall not be interpreted as a waiver of its right to enforce it at a later time.
Article 3 : Description of Services – Booking
The Maubreuil Collection offers various services including:
- room, suite or accommodation bookings,
- catering services,
- wellness services,
- provision of spaces,
- event services,
- gift vouchers and packages.
Details of services may be provided:
- at reception,
- by phone,
- by email,
- on the relevant establishment’s website,
- and, where applicable, in the quotation or confirmation email.
3.1 Accomodation Services
The essential characteristics of accommodation services, availability, rates, options, payment terms, check-in and check-out times, applicable rules, and any specific conditions are communicated prior to booking.
Rooms and suites are presented by category. Photographs and visuals are non-contractual.
3.2 Additional or Independent Services
Depending on the establishment, the Maubreuil Collection may also offer:
- breakfast,
- catering,
- room service,
- combined offers,
- wellness access or services,
- parking (subject to availability),
- rental or provision of spaces,
- study days or other specific services.
These services are charged in addition unless expressly included in the confirmed booking.
3.3 Gift Vouchers
The Maubreuil Collection may offer gift vouchers or tailor-made packages redeemable within its establishments.
Each voucher includes a description of its main characteristics.
Unless otherwise stated, vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase. After expiry, they are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances assessed by the Maubreuil Collection (e.g., administrative closure or exceptional events).
Availability on requested dates is not guaranteed, particularly close to the expiry date. The beneficiary is responsible for booking in advance.
3.4 Seminar Rooms and Event Spaces
The Maubreuil Collection provides seminar rooms, lounges, or reception areas, with details available upon request, via quotation, or through specialized platforms where applicable.
Spaces are made available according to the terms, schedules, and capacities specified in the quotation or confirmation.
Any overtime may result in additional charges.
Article 4 : Accommodation Terms and Occupancy
Unless otherwise specified:
- check-in is from 4:00 PM,
- check-out is no later than 11:00 AM.
All establishments, rooms, and suites are strictly non-smoking.
Failure to comply may result in:
- cleaning or restoration costs,
- a minimum fixed penalty of €150.
Pets may be accepted under conditions specific to each establishment and may be excluded from:
- dining areas,
- meeting rooms,
- wellness areas.
Access to certain wellness facilities may be subject to age, health, or safety restrictions. The Maubreuil Collection reserves the right to deny access when necessary for safety or comfort reasons.
Article 5 : Contract Formation
The contract is concluded once the parties agree on:
- the nature of the services,
- the dates,
- and the applicable financial conditions.
For remote bookings, a written summary or confirmation is sent to the client.
The booking is only considered final after:
- confirmation by the Maubreuil Collection,
- and, where applicable, payment of a deposit, advance, or guarantee.
In the absence of written confirmation, the client must verify the booking status.
Article 6 : Prices
Prices are indicated before, during, and after booking.
For accommodation, prices are per room, based on selected occupancy and dates.
Unless otherwise stated:
- prices are in euros (€),
- inclusive or exclusive of taxes as specified,
- and exclude optional services.
Tourist tax applies where relevant.
Prices generally exclude:
- personal expenses,
- additional consumption,
- unlisted services,
- ancillary services,
- specific requests during the stay.
Prices include VAT applicable at booking date. Any legal or tax changes will be reflected at invoicing.
Article 7 : Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified at booking, on the quotation, or confirmation.
Depending on the service:
- payment may be required at booking,
- before the service,
- on-site,
- or according to a schedule.
A credit card guarantee or pre-authorization may be required.
The client guarantees:
- authorization to use the payment method,
- sufficient funds.
Failure to pay may result in:
- cancellation,
- suspension of services,
- immediate payment demand.
For professional clients, late payment penalties apply (minimum €100 plus €40 recovery fee).
Article 8 : Cancellation and Modification
Flexible bookings may be cancelled up to 48 hours before arrival (3:00 PM, Paris time, two days prior), without charge unless otherwise specified.
Late cancellation or no-show may result in charges (e.g., first night).
Non-refundable offers are not eligible for refunds.
Article 9 : Client Obligations and Liability
The client is solely responsible for:
- their choice of service,
- the suitability of such service to their needs,
- the information provided,
- as well as their behavior and that of their guests, companions, or any third parties involved.
The client undertakes to:
- respect the premises, equipment, staff, and other clients,
- adopt attire and behavior consistent with the standard of the establishment,
- not disturb order, safety, or the proper functioning of the premises,
- comply with the rules applicable to wellness, technical, or private areas.
The client shall refrain from any behavior that is:
- contrary to public decency,
- contrary to public order,
- dangerous,
- disrespectful,
- or incompatible with the image of the Maubreuil Collection.
In such cases, management or any authorized person may require the client to leave the premises, without compensation or refund.
The client remains liable for any damage caused by themselves, their companions, or their guests. Restoration costs will be charged to them.
Article 10 : Obligations and Liability of the Maubreuil Collection
The Maubreuil Collection undertakes to provide the services in accordance with these GTCS, the applicable specific conditions, and the quotation or booking confirmation, with the care and professionalism expected of a high-end establishment.
It is bound by an obligation of means.
Photographs and visuals are provided for illustrative purposes only. Variations in decoration, furniture, layout, or ambiance may occur without constituting a failure to perform, provided that the essential characteristics of the service are respected.
In the event of an exceptional inability to perform, in particular due to force majeure, major technical constraints, or unforeseen unavailability, the Maubreuil Collection may offer an equivalent solution, where possible and subject to the client’s agreement where required.
In any event, its liability shall not be engaged in respect of:
- indirect damages,
- loss of business,
- loss of clientele,
- or any damage to image or loss of profit.
Article 11 : Personal Data
Personal data collected in the context of bookings, quotations, payments, commercial exchanges, and the performance of services are processed by the Maubreuil Collection solely for the purpose of managing the contractual and commercial relationship.
In accordance with applicable regulations, the client has the right to:
- access,
- rectification,
- erasure,
- restriction,
- objection,
- and, where applicable, portability.
Any request may be sent to the contact details provided at the beginning of these terms.
In the event of any difficulty relating to the processing of personal data, the client may refer the matter to the CNIL.
Article 12 : Applicable Law and Disputes
These GTCS are governed by French law.
For professional clients, any dispute relating to their formation, interpretation, performance, or termination shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the district of the registered office of the Maubreuil Collection, unless mandatory provisions provide otherwise.
For consumer clients, the protective rules of the French Consumer Code shall remain applicable.
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall seek an amicable solution as a priority.
The consumer client may also refer the matter to the Tourism and Travel Mediator, in accordance with the procedures in force at the date of the request.
