Meet Estelle Bichon, Maîtresse de Maison.

Estelle arrived at Château de Maubreuil on August 1, 2023, and has held the position of General Manager ever since. Her role is essential in coordinating all the Château's services, in close collaboration with the owner. With an atypical career path that sets her apart in the hotel world, she began her career in accounting. Her path then led her to her true passion: the hotel and restaurant business in Saint Barthélemy. 

Over a period of 10 years, Estelle worked her way up through various departments and establishments, before taking over the management of prestigious establishments, always on a human scale. Renowned resorts such as Tignes, Megève and Val Thorens, as well as Corsica, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Dinard, Paris and, last but not least, Champagne, have accompanied her throughout her career, shaping her expertise in the luxury hotel business. As a result, she has many extraordinary anecdotes: "Les folies Tropéziennes... Whatever happens in Saint-Tropez, stays in Saint-Tropez!", so the mystery remains... Estelle had been longing to return to her native region for some years, but there was a shortage of top-of-the-range establishments, she confides, "Until the Château de Maubreuil... Perfect timing... The planets aligned".  

At Château de Maubreuil, Estelle oversees strategy, stay planning, event organization, guest reception and quality standards. She attaches great importance to the well-being of her teams, making her job a "vast playground". In fact, this diversity is what excites her most. She also appreciates the human aspect, receiving guests in exceptional locations, telling memorable stories and ensuring that "every visitor leaves with unforgettable memories". Although still relatively new to Château de Maubreuil, Estelle is already planning to take the establishment to new heights.

Outside work, Estelle cultivates her passion for travel and encounters, which she says are "often linked". She is a keen runner, even if her busy schedule leaves little time for this activity. She attaches great importance to her family and friends, enjoying sharing convivial moments over a good meal. Estelle devotes a considerable amount of time to her work, which is her true passion. She embodies the commitment and determination needed to make Château de Maubreuil an exceptional place.

What Estelle appreciates most about working at the Château is the beauty of the place itself, with its sumptuous living spaces, rooms and gardens.
