When history takes the road again. 

170 years ago, Marquis de Dion was born. A visionary, pioneer of the French automotive industry and co-founder of De Dion-Bouton, he left a lasting mark on both the history of Carquefou and Château de Maubreuil, where he lived for many years.

An emblematic figure in French automotive history, Marquis de Dion helped shape an era and gave life to one of the greatest industrial adventures of his time.

On Saturday, June 6th 2026, as part of Auto-Générations organised by the City of Carquefou, Château de Maubreuil will pay tribute to this legacy by hosting the Automotive Elegance Competition, within the very estate once home to the Marquis.

The Highlight of Auto-Générations.

Throughout the day, Château de Maubreuil will welcome enthusiasts, collectors and curious visitors for an event dedicated to the world of automobiles.

In the gardens of the estate, guests will have the opportunity to discover classic cars and iconic models that have shaped generations, before the main highlight of the event begins: the Automotive Elegance Competition, from 4:00 PM.

Officially recognised by the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles, this event will showcase exceptional automobiles within a historic setting where heritage and elegance naturally come together.
