This month, we would like to tell you the story of one of the most symbolic works of art in our exceptional hotel located just a few steps from Nantes. An invitation to travel, so providential in these times of inertia, which will take those who know how to let themselves be carried in a real journey... around the world.
The globe that you can admire in the hall of the Château de Maubreuil was acquired by the owners of the estate a little over three years ago, during a visit to Aynhoe Park Castle, a place full of history in the northwest of London. This work of art, from a private collection, strangely echoed the project for the rebirth of the Château de Maubreuil: an invitation to travel through the five senses. In our rooms first of all, whose unique decoration sounds like an ode to escape, in our gastronomic restaurant with its unique concept, which takes you every six months to discover a new destination thanks to our starred chefs from the four corners of the world, in our Cinq Mondes Spa and its rituals from elsewhere and finally in the monumental art and the unique vegetation that surround the Château.
The result of the artisanal work of an unknown artist, this globe was handmade from a very old map where you can see countries with names from another time, now gone. Placed on its rotating base, it awakens our desire to travel elsewhere, the desire to meet a country, its culture and its inhabitants. Have a nice trip!
